Terms for Stores

These terms apply to every store listed on SouqCompare, and to the people who create or use a store account. By creating a store account, or by asking us to list your store, you accept these terms on behalf of your store. Our general Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply too.
1. Your account
- You confirm that you work for the store and are allowed to list it and to accept these terms for it.
- The information you give us (store name, website, contact details) must be true and kept up to date.
- You keep your login private and are responsible for what is done with it. Tell us at once if you think someone else used it.
- Every new store is reviewed before it is shown. We may decline a store without giving a reason.
2. You allow us to read your website
You allow SouqCompare to visit and read the public pages of your website automatically (by software, sometimes called crawling or scraping) and by hand, and to read any product feed or file you give us. We read, for example: product names, brands, models, prices, sale prices, stock, delivery information, specifications, descriptions, photos, categories and product links.
- We only read pages that anyone can open without logging in. We never try to access private areas, customer data or orders.
- We read at a moderate speed so we don't slow your website down, and we follow the rules in your website's robots.txt file.
- We may read your pages again as often as needed to keep prices and stock up to date.
3. What we show publicly
- Your prices, sale prices, stock and delivery information are shown publicly on SouqCompare, next to other stores' prices for the same product, so shoppers can compare. We may also show price history and price-drop alerts.
- We show your store name, logo and links to your product pages. Shoppers who click go to your website to buy.
- Stores are ordered by price and other neutral facts. Paid placements, if any, are clearly marked as advertising and never change the order of prices.
4. How we may use your product information
You give SouqCompare a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission (a licence) to use the product information and store details we read or that you give us, for price comparison and everything around it. This includes copying and storing it; showing it on our website, apps, emails and social media; resizing or improving photos; writing our own product names, descriptions and specifications based on it; putting products into our own categories; and combining it with information from other stores.
You confirm that you are allowed to give us this permission for the product information and photos on your website, and that showing them on SouqCompare does not break anyone else's rights. Your trademarks and logo stay yours; we only use them to identify your store.
5. Sharing with other parties
- We may share product and price information (not personal data) with other parties - for example search engines, AI assistants, shopping and affiliate networks, advertising and marketing partners, data and analytics partners, and companies that work for us - so your products can be found and compared in more places.
- Personal data of your staff (names, emails, mobile numbers) is only used and shared as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell it.
6. If you close your account or ask us to stop
- You can close your store account or ask us to stop listing your store at any time by contacting us.
- We then stop reading your website and stop showing your current prices and offers, normally within 14 days.
- Product pages stay on SouqCompare. The product information, photos, specifications, descriptions and categories already added to our catalogue may remain and may continue to be shown with other stores' offers. Past prices may remain in price history and statistics, shown with their dates.
- If something of yours must be removed for a legal reason (for example a photo you do not own the rights to), tell us and we will remove it.
7. Correct information
- Prices and stock on your website are your responsibility. Tell us if we show something wrong and we will correct it.
- You must not list fake, illegal or misleading products or prices, or try to change your ranking by false information.
- We may hide or remove a listing, or suspend a store, for wrong prices, misleading information, broken links or a breach of these terms.
8. Fees
Listing your store is free unless we agree otherwise in writing. Advertising and any paid services have their own written terms and prices.
9. Responsibility
We work hard to show your information correctly, but we cannot promise that SouqCompare is always available or error-free. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for lost sales, lost profits or indirect losses. You are responsible for your products, prices, sales, delivery and customer service, and for claims that come from them.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. When we make an important change we will tell stores by email or in the store portal, and the new version applies from the date shown. If you keep using SouqCompare after that, you accept the new version. These terms are governed by the law of Qatar; disputes go to the courts of the State of Qatar.
